The Sudburnia Soccer Club will be betowing in 2004 for the first time two very fitting bursaries in honour of a pair of long-time club volunteers. The Tammie Thibault Volunteer Bursary and the Gail Arbic Volunteer Bursary will be awarded to two full-time post-secondary students who have a long-standing involvement with the local soccer organization. The bursaries, having a value of $ 500 apiece, will be awarded based on the following criteria:
- show proof of paid registration to a post secondary institution
- involved with Sudburnia Soccer for a minimum of eight years as a player and/or official, convenor, coach, registration volunteer, clinic assistant, etc...
- has represented the Sudburnia Soccer Club in a positive manner while playing, coaching, etc..
The bursaries are an acknowledgement of an individual's involvement with Sudburnia Soccer and will not be based on any other volunteer involvement nor on academic prowess. While individuals may apply as often as they wish, any given person shall only receive the bursary once.
Interested applicants are asked to kindly provide details of their involvement with Sudburnia Soccer prior to September 30th annually, with the named recipients being announced at the club's Annual General Meeting in October.
