With their OWHL (Ontario Women's Hockey League) regular season opening game just over a week away, the Sudbury U18 AA Lady Wolves picked an excellent time to begin discovering their scoring touch.

The locals swept a pair of exhibition games with the Clarington Flames last weekend, outscoring the visitors 10-2 (4-2 and 6-0) in the process.

The teams opened with a closer affair as Avery Mininni, Alyssa Bryant, Ryan Snow and Rowan Frood all bulged the twice as the Lady Wolves doubled the Flames in game one before manhandling their guests in the nightcap.

No less than six different players found the back of the net in game two as Aleah Restoule, Joely Angus, Hannah Adler, Avery Mininni, Alyssa Bryant and affiliated all-up Raina Gauthier all hit the scoresheet in the lopsided win.

Brielle Theberge recorded the shutout for Sudbury who will close out pre-season play this Saturday night at home, renewing acquaintances with their northern rivals, the North Bay Jr Lakers at 6:15 p.m. at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex.

League play commences on October 3rd with the Lady Wolves defend home ice opposite the Markham-Stouffville Stars in a two-game set at Countryside.
