The Sudbury Accessible Sport Council (SASC), in conjunction with SportLink - Greater Sudbury Sport Council and the Canadian Paralympic Committee are hosting a very informal "Meet & Greet" this coming Saturday (January 24th) at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex.
Set to take place from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., the gathering will be hosted in the community room adjacent to the canteen (formerly Sudbury Sports Hall of Fame room), and is open to anyone who might be interested in participating or assisting with para sports in Sudbury in any way, shape or form at all.
Organizers involved with current para offerings locally - para nordic, wheelchair basketball, para hockey, etc... - will be on hand, as will two-time Paralympian and Sudbury native Lance Cryderman, offering a helping hand and answering questions regarding para boccia.
No registration is necessary and there is no cost to the event. Simply stop by and enjoy some conversation regarding the possible expansion of para sport offerings in Sudbury.
For further information, kindly contact either Patti Kitler (pattikit@gmail.com) or Randy Pascal (info@sudburysports.com - 705-698-1627).
One and all are welcomed to attend this drop-in event.
