The Sudbury District Secondary Schools Athletic Association (SDSSAA) will be offering a pair of clinics for hockey scorekeepers and timekeepers.

Having scorekept at three sets of Olympic Winter Games (2010; 2018; 2022), Randy Pascal will be hosting both a beginners clinic (6:30 p.m.) and advanced clinic (8:00 p.m.) on (Monday) September 22nd at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School (Lecture Room 319).

The first 90 minutes (6:30 - 8:00 p.m.) will be devoted to brand new timekeepers, with a heavy emphasis on understanding how to handle all of the functions of the Harris scoreboard, as well as understanding the data entry required to complete the Gamesheet scorekeeping application now being utilized at almost all levels of minor hockey in the NOHA.

Some time will also be spent of having at least some knowledge of the proper completion of scoresheet information.

The second session will provide an ideal refresher for timekeepers with some experience, getting into the discussion regarding situations of multiple penalties, majors, misconducts and game misconducts, as well as rule variances that exist between leagues.

Prior to attending these clinics, it is important that all prospective timekeepers check with their local minor hockey association to ensure that their group is still in search of more timekeepers for the 2025-2026 hockey season as it appears that some groups are currently adding newcomers to a waiting list.
