Gray's involvement in the league dates back to at least 1998, having served as a scout with the Brampton/North Bay Battalion franchise for nearly two decades (1998-2015) before moving on to Hamilton, where he was promoted to head scout (2018-2019) and finally Director of Player Personnel (2023-2024).

The purchase of the Bulldogs team by NHLer Zach Hyman and family has seen Spencer Hyman named as named as General Manager and Vice-President, with the Wolves moving swiftly to scoop up Dave Gray.

Moving up from the scouting and player development ranks is local hockey man Jeff Forsyth, promoted to the role of Assistant General Manager while Jason Spencer replaces Mike Taylor as the Wolves' Head Scout.

Forsyth has served as a coach and scout over the course of the past 15 years, tackling the role of General Manager for the Rayside-Balfour Canadians and Greater Sudbury Cubs from 2019 to 2022.

Also from Sudbury, Jason Spencer joined the Wolves scouting team in 2018, working as the Regional Scout in the GTA. The 54 year-old suited up in eight OHL games with the Ottawa 67's back in 1988-1989.

On an another note, Sudbury Wolves' head coach Scott Barney has been named as head coach of one of the two Hockey Canada U17 teams that will compete at the 2025 U17 World Challenge to be held in Truro (Nova Scotia) from October 31st to November 8th.
