It would have been nice to follow-up an NOHA Tournament of Champions gold medal performance in Kapuskasing with a NEHL (North Eastern House League) crown, but given an overall season record of 42-6-5, the Rayside U15 Tigercats are not about to complain.

Earlier this month, the RBMHA reps played to a 3-3 draw in their opening TOC game versus the Englehart Rotary but then never looked back, stringing together five straight wins en route to the banner.

The Tigercats got rolling with a lopsided 8-1 win over the host Kapuskasing Luc Trudel Trucking Icehawks later that day and did not slow up one bit, doubling Kapuskasing Leon's Furniture Icehawks (4-2) and Hearst Jumpstart - White (7-5) on Saturday before trimming Kapuskasing Leon's in the semis (3-1) and bouncing the Chapleau Huskies 6-2 in the final.

This marked the fourth tournament the team has captured this winter, following on the footsteps of the RBMHA Tiger Tourney, the West Nipissing Showcase and the Lefory Icebreakers Classic.

Looking to close out the year in style, the team came up just short in NEHL U15 Red A semi-final action, edged 3-2 in overtime by none other than the RBMHA Icecats. That crew will now face the SMHA Sharks in the final.

Members of the RBMHA U15 Tigercats team included Ramzy Bernard, Roch Rouselle, Samuel Babe, Ty Glaude, Yanick Lavoie, Alysha Seguin, Lennon Ouellette, Nikollas Dubois, Aleks Gladu, Alex Deault, Alexander MacNeill, Dexter Mailloux, Felix Comtois, Hugo Drouin and Jackson Barrette.

The team staff features head coach Allain Dubois, assistant coaches Jeremy Mailloux, Joel Glaude and Mike MacNeill, trainer Luc Barrette and manager Sandra Gladu.
