With ten games on the slate for the month of April, the Sudbury Five have decided to welcome another big man to the fold.

A native of Garfield Heights, Ohio (just outside of Cleveland) and one-time member of both the Ohio State Buckeyes and Jacksonville University Dolphins of the NCAA, 6'10" forward Dave Bell is making his way to northern Ontario.

Bell would transfer from OSU to Jacksonville for his final two years of eligibility (2018-2019 & 2019-2020), averaging 12 points and ten rebounds per game in that final campaign.

Coming down with a total of 310 rebounds that year (9th highest total in Jacksonville history), Bell was named as the ASUN (formerly Atlantic Sun) Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

"He will be a big presence in the paint that we need, someone that can rebound, block shots and give us a nice advantage down low that will help us take a big playoff run and win a championship," said Sudbury coach and GM Logan Stutz.

Bell is expected to be in action this weekend as the Five welcome the KW Titans to town for a two-game set (Saturday at 7:00 p.m.; Sunday at 2:00 p.m.), looking to extend their current six game winning streak.
