The Sudbury Jam U14 Boys will travel to Brampton this weekend, site of their next series of OBL (Ontario Basketball League) encounters, having taking care of business recently at a tournament in the north.
Facing five other northeastern Ontario foes, the Jam topped their pool standings with wins over both North Bay (58-38) and Parry Sound (67-16).
From there, it was a cross-over semi-final battle that pitted the locals against Midland, with Sudbury advancing to the championship game thanks to a 53-31 triumph.
The event final would be a rematch of the ice-breaker for the young teens, getting the better of North Bay for a second time, this one by the final score of 65-34.
The Jam have gone 3-1 in OBL play to date and have games scheduled for Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., both being hosted at the Save Max Sports Centre in Brampton.
