Hayden Wolff turned aside 24 of the 25 shots that he faced and the Lively Hawks received goals from five different players, improving to 3-0-1 thanks to a 5-1 win over the visiting Confederation Chargers Wednesday night in Walden.

The homeside was already up 4-0 late in the third period when Troy Wilton denied Wolff his shutout, roofing a shot on a short-handed breakaway.

By then, the damage was done as Ian MacDonald, Owen MacDonald, Brek Morrow and Ryan Ricci vaulted the Hawks to a 4-0 lead, with Bradley Kiviaho capping things off with just under four minutes to play.

Lively outshot Confederation 38-25, with Wolff often the difference as the Chargers dropped to 1-1 on the season.

Thursday action finds the Bishop Carter Gators and Collège Notre-Dame Alouettes facing off at 8:30 p.m. in Copper Cliff, while the St Charles Cardinals and Confederation go toe to toe Friday night in Hanmer.
