Werenski, Jenner and Foligno in town for charity event
by Randy Pascal

It looks like Columbus Blue Jackets' team captain Nick Foligno is pulling in a few favours, all to the benefit of the Neo Kids Foundation. Foligno will be among the headliners as Vale presents the second annual NHL vs DOCS charity game on Thursday, August 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex.

And while Foligno will be joined by the local talent that so often lends their support for worthwhile causes, the likes of Marcus Foligno, Derek Mackenzie and Zack Stortini, they will be joined by others who would seldom make the trek up to these parts now that their junior days are behind.

Current Columbus teammates Zach Werenski, Boone Jenner, Scott Harrington and Josh Anderson will be heading north, along with former Blue Jacket and current New Jersey Devil Dalton Prout, all lending a hand for charity.

Tickets are on sale for $22 and are available at the Sudbury Arena Box Office or, will all proceeds to be turned over to the NEO Kids Foundation.

The game will consist of two 25 minute straight time periods, with players remaining on hand after the contest to help raise a few more funds. For a price of just five dollars, families will be able to obtain the autograph of their favourite NHLer on hand.
