Noah Carter with the hat trick for Northern Soccer Academy
2017-07-08
by Randy Pascal

The Northern Soccer Academy U16 Elite Boys recently enjoyed one of their most successful weekends of their inaugural year of competition, sweeping a pair of games.

The locals bested Chantilly - Forever FC (Hamilton) 5-1, with Noah Carter netting the hat trick and Lucas Oliveira and Dren Edwards closing things off. The NSA lads looked equally as impressive the next day, blanking Lions United (Toronto) 2-0 behind markers from Aiden Ragogna and Edwards, and a clean slate in net from Nolan Berthelette.

“I have been impressed with our back line that has kept the opposition from scoring,” noted head coach Brian Ashton. The defensive wall features centrebacks Andrew Prince and Luca Nardi, with Jacob Socransky and Luke May manning the outside positions.

Rounding out the team roster this summer are Sault Ste Marie natives Thomas Webb, Saurodeep Majumdar, Nathan Lajunen and Jake May, Sudburian Cameron Boland, and Neil Kovacs from North Bay.
