Wolves get their first good look at the kids

The Sudbury Wolves have had but an early look at the new incoming talent, but so far, they like what they see.

The team management followed Rookie Camp last weekend by signing 2017 first round draft pick Blake Murray to an OHL contract. The 15 year old centerman from Uxbridge was selected seventh overall, earlier this month, after enjoying a solid season with the Whitby Minor Midget "AAA" Wildcats.

"Blake has the kind of character that will add to our dressing room and our community," noted Sudbury GM Rob Papineau in a team issued release. "He brings skill and an on-ice presence that has the potential to become an impact player in our league."

Murray was the only confirmed signing following the two-day workouts that gathered most of the 2017 selections, a handful of 2016 draftees, as well as small number of free agents. Attached is a complete listing of the remaining Sudbury Wolves selections from the 2017 draft:
